Lumina – the University of South-East Europe was founded in 2010 as a result of preparations that lasted for nearly three years. The university opened its doors in October 2010, with four approved study programmes.
The campus, located in the 2nd district of the capital, is one of the most modern in Romania.
Another two study programmes Pedagogy and Applied Modern Languages (English-French and English-Turkish) were authorized in 2013. In the same year was inaugurated the Student Center, which includes a gymnasium with an indoor basketball court, a sports hall for gym and wrestling, as well as office premises.
In 2014, Business Administration and International Relations and European Studies study programmes were accredited by Ministry of Education in Romania.
